Remote Instruction Resources

Here are resources for delivering classes using online tools such as Moodle, Google Classroom, Google Meet, or Google Drive.

Off-Campus Research

**If you currently have library items checked out to your account, please keep them until further notice. Disregard any auto-generated emails you may receive for overdue items. You are our #1 priority. Let us know how we can help you.**

Need access to a library resource while off-campus?  No problem!  As long as you have internet access, you will be able to access most of our electronic resources.  To start, first click All Course/Subject Guides on the Library homepage.  You can also view a list of our electronic resources on our Databases A-Z.

Tips

  • The library has access to close to 200,000 e-books through Ebook Central and ESBCO ebooks.  You can access e-books off-campus, so take advantage of them!

  • Limited internet access?  Most databases allow you to download articles to your computer in PDF format so you can view them later.  With ebooks, you can often download or print limited portions of e-books. See the EBSCO ebook guide for more information

  • Use the inter-library loan system for electronic access to articles we own in print or microform format. The library can scan book chapters and other documents and e-mail them to you.

ILL

Off-campus access to Transylvania Library's Interlibrary Loan service is available.  Fill out the form and we will help you to find materials.

  • Articles & Book Chapters will be delivered electronically.  You will get an email alert as soon as they arrive in the system.

  • Whole books must be delivered physically.  These are moving through the system but slower than normal.  It may take three to four weeks to get books currently.

Through the same system we can also scan chapters or articles from our own collection.  Simply fill out the form requesting the chapter of the book you want or the article you need.  We will scan it and you will receive it through the system just like you receive ILL requests.
