In this course, we will examine climate change through the lens of water, specifically as presented in climate journalist Jeff Goodell's book, The Water Will Come. Drawing from journal articles, National Geographic publications, media reports, and documentaries, we will examine how humanity is affecting our oceans, water levels, and melting ice caps, and how they, in return, are going to shape our future. Discussion areas include water sustainability, rising water temperatures, melting ice caps and glaciers, weather anomalies, and coastal real estate.
