Transylvania University Library’s Long-term Chromebook Loan Program provides support to currently enrolled Transy students to help them gain access to technology resources so they can succeed and excel in their academic work.
The library provides a limited number of Chromebooks for long-term or semester loans which this application covers. The library has others which are available for short-term loans generally lasting a few hours. The library also has public computers available for students to use.
The Long-term Chromebook Loan Program is intended to support the academic work of currently enrolled Transy students who do not own a functioning computer or otherwise have access to a computer from their home or dorm. Because we have a limited number of chromebooks for long-term checkout, students will need to complete an application for consideration in the program. Applications will be handled in the order in which they are received. Each qualifying student can borrow one chromebook at a time. All request applications are kept on record.
More information on the program, including deadlines, can be found here.
The application can be filled out below. If you would like a printed copy, please ask a librarian. If you would like to fill it out in a different window, please click here.
Transylvania University Library has several chromebooks available for short-term (up to four hours) check out. These computers may be brought to classes, or used on campus for short periods of time. If not returned promptly, patrons will receive an email requesting return. Failure to return chromebooks in a timely manner may result in the limiting of the ability to check out this equipment. In order to check out a chromebook (or any other equipment), a patron must fill out the Equipment Borrower Agreement.
